Of Friendship, Tasks, and Thoughts...

Of Friendship that knows no bounds in distance. Well probably, it is Hardship that may bring True Friendship together. I just had a feeling of writing about the Ships we sail along by in our life. Probably some of our “Friend-Ships” are wavering at sea, and probably some have sunken. But nevertheless, people that pass through our life have thought each of us a precious lesson.

Friend-Ship is definitely a “ship” that isn’t easy to build. It takes time, effort, and probably some money too. But for all I know almost 80% of people I know have not found the Right Friend-Ship. Its hard, nod your head with me and say “Its hard”. I guess finding is not the problem. There are millions of people that cross our path each day. Can you imagine, Jien even passes my house every week (according to some calculation.. you know, all those “keberangkalian” crap). But that’s not the point. Point is, the problem with it all is compatibility.
But well, I guess I'm thankful and REALLY thankful for all those around me. Love ya'll. Don't wanna mention names, afraid I miss out any of you.

Focus on tasks and not on activities…
In managing our time, many of are conscious of what we are doing butnot why we are doing what we are doing. We need to focus on the endresult of our activities and not on merely on our activities. We needto distinguish between a 'task' and andactivity'. A task is the endresult of an activity or a set of activities.

For example, 'reading a book' is an activity and the task isacquisition of knowledge. 'Jogging' is an activity and reducing weightis the task. If there is no link between an activity and a task in ourconscious awareness, then we may not do that activity for long. Theybecome meaningless rituals in our mind. If an activity or a set ofactivities does not produce the expected results, then it becomes awaste of time.

The ability to link and activity and task is an important ingredientfor success. We need to start with an end in our mind and just not bemerely doing an activity. Our inner dialogue should be in line withthis simple principle. For example, we should say 'I am going to jog'.Instead of this we should say 'I will be one kg less in 30 days by jogging 15 minutes per day'. We should not say 'I am meditating' but say, 'I am improving my mental health by meditating'.

Whenever we are able to link an activity and a task, we will be able to measure the result of our outcome. By simply asking the question'why am I doing this activity? we will be able to release our time alot of unnecessary activities which 'fills up' our time. We will beable to distinguish between 'value adding' and 'non value addingactivities'. An activity is value adding only when it takes us nearerto our goals and objectives. All other activities are non-value addingand are just 'filler' material for our time.Time is such a precious resource, which should not be dissipated onmeaningless activities. Today you print a question: why am I doingthis? and place it in front of your worktable. This will help you tomake off-course corrections in your daily activities.Just answer this question: why are you reading this page!

Interesting read up there. It really meant loads to me probably because I have so many activities at hand till I actually forget my reason or cause of doing all of this. For Exp: I should I say "I want to allow my friends to know me better by me blogging" rather than "I SHOULD write a post every week". Get me? :P

Alrighty now for something more on the light note. Charity Concert is coming up very soon. Somehow I really do not understand why everyone is going for it? When did everyone become LEO enthusiast? I admit, I lost my FIRE for 'it' hahaha. But heck it, its RM15. Yes, it is NOT cheap to me. Have anyone told you I am very calculative when it comes to money. Maybe thats why I want to do something in the Finance/Stock sector. Well, I'm secretly wishing The LEO thing will suck. GOSH?! When did John ever become so hypo-critical? Not good~. Fish la. LOLz. I'm just so sick and tired of ACTIVITIES after ACTIVITIES. Is Life just all about all this?

Now to add a little from above. I actually meant it for Victor's departure but who would ever guess my sis would also leave on the same week. My sis left on Thursday and I'll miss her dead. She has ben such a great support and friend EVERY night! As long as she's back our conversations never end. She has always been by my side whenever I wanted to complain, shout, get angry with, laugh, sing, cry and sleep. Yes, I sleep with my sis on the same bed when she's around ;). Nopez, TO THE PURE ALL THINGS ARE PURE. *Hugs Sis*. Back to Perth she left, and now the room is all clean and quiet again. LOLz. You're gonna be strong ya Ci! (Ci is Che in Hokkien).

Ahh... what a relieve to finally update this lovely blog. Continue reading ya peeps. OH BEFORE I LEAVE, I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE AMERICAN IDOL!!!! I'm routing for Mandisa, Paris, Lisa and Katherine. David is sleek and I really think Ace is gay. Other than that, Ryan is as good as ever, Simon speaks my mind and I love SINGING! Weeeeeee!! This is to SINGING in the Future. Might be singing at Hitz.FM birthday bash with Liang. We'll see how it goes ;) Muax everyone!!

For the Love of Money

Alrighty, I have much to update here. First of all, my Chinese new year isn’t as boring as it is said below. Last weekend I joined a group of crazy whacky noisy people for a small CNY celebration at Xue Rou’s place. We were all fascinated with the small compartment above at her backyard. It was a small hole in which they allowed their maid to stay in while she was working. Unfortunately, me and Ee Jin didn’t have the opportunity to play hide and seek there. The next highlight last week was also the steamboat at Jinny’s place. It was very much like a “friend-family reunion”. Probably we could reunite again next year? :P. Other than that, the rest of the week was a drag.

I was preparing for the last cell at SS2B on Friday night and I was also worship leading the coming Sunday which is today. First of all, preparing for Friday wasn’t too bad, but wasn’t that easy either. I had sacrificed my WHOLE Friday afternoon for them just to draw them cute faces and write them personal notes. Trust me, drawing and Writing for 25 special people can take up to 3 to 4 hours. But all in all, it was a mediocre night. There weren’t any tears but there were whining. Unfortunately we didn’t take much pictures. But the food was excellent. We had so many things to eat. I really pray that both cells will grow and multiply the following year. Its truly amazing to see growth in all the cell members both spiritually and physically for the past year and a half with them. Though we exceeded our time at the place, I guess it did it well. So, goodbye SS2B, hello SS2C Park. Cool name right? Michelle’s place is Right opposite my school, in front of SS1, SS3, SS2 and Sect 21. We’re like in the core of it all. Curious bout what I’m talking about? Then join us every Friday night at 7, Jalan 21/37 for a small gathering of whacky people just to have fun, make noise and learn about the one we love.

Yesterday, I was over at Jinny’s place in the afternoon just to “play” a few games. Ok, I gambled. Lolz. Though I lost RM9 there, little did I know what was in stored for me later on in the night. Xue Rou too had a gathering again at her place in the night. I seriously was not planning to go considering the fact I was up at 6.30am for tennis till 9 and was out the whole day after that to worship practice at church. I was really tired and needed rest for the next day at church. But after some convincing by Jinny online, I finally agreed to go. Boy, I didn’t regret this decision. Thank You Jinny Baby! Arrived at bout 9.30pm at Xue Rou’s place with Benjoz. We got warmed up and started our game upstairs. Ee Jin, Jo Lin, Jinny, Benjoz, Xue Rou, Miew San, Chupsy and Wei Wen were there plus me were 9 of us. I had lost bout RM10 the first 45 minutes. I was whining the whole way through with Miew San. Jinny had won RM27 at Jackpot and we were all really pissed. We couldn’t take it anymore and turned to In Between for help. Everyone was only winning a little till one round. The Pot was building and building and building till some RM50+ in the Pot. Little did I know that my whining was not in vain. It was my turn and I had 2 and Queen. If you know In Between, it was really good. I can’t explain how excited we all were but it was crazy. We got the Kodak moment on camera. Jinny probably might upload it on his blog, go check it out. After some moment of screams and shouts, I decided to raise the stakes to RM35. And guess what! I won the RM35! Weeee.. A little while after that I had to leave and left with my earnings. I shall not disclose how much I had won that night but it was an awesome feeling. But, that shall be the last time I gamble this year. So, goodbye to gambling till next year!

Well, I guess that’s all I can update for now. I have so much to say but time forbid. So goodnight ya’ll and have a great week ahead!
